Where Will You Be?

Ever thought about where you will be in 1 year?  How about 5 years?  10 years?  100 years?

We have no control where we will be on earth in any given time as any circumstance could come up to make us have to be either here or there.

We do however have control of where we will be in 100 years by the choices we make today for eternity.

Jesus Christ is the best thing that has ever happened to me.  Jesus Christ is also the hardest thing that has ever happened to me (even harder than life’s set backs) because of the commitment it takes.  Being a follower of Christ has been very hard work (I will write more about this later sometime), but I know that it will all be worth the hard work 100, 1,000, and 1 million years from now.

Philippians 3:13-14
13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

It’s interesting but the older I get the easier it gets to be a Christian. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a habit you get into of commitment. I also think I have lived and watched others live the non-committed life and how difficult it really is rather than having Christ in charge. It’s almost a no brainer after some time because you realize how bad the alternative is and how much more being committed puts the right person in charge - Christ!

For the season we are in, things get harder, but we get stronger and the human nature side of things decays, which is painful! So in that sense, the more time and obedience equals an easier walk.
