We have an appt…
Our doctor and her practice has decided that we need to be referred to a vascular surgeon. The little I understand, a vascular surgeon specializes in arteries which is very important since the aneurysm is located in one of the main arteries that runs through the neck and up in the brain (read the post below for more info). Our appointment has been scheduled for next Tuesday the 8th at 2pm with a specialist in Greenville, SC. Pray specifically for peace for the appointment….I’m already nervous and it’s still almost a week away!
I must admit that to me this is becoming more and more real. For the first few days I walked around in somewhat of a fog, but now that we have this appointment reality is definitely sinking in. It is somewhat terrifying but again I’m so thankful we don’t go through this alone. We have friends, family, and most importantly we have Jesus Christ. It really is a peace that “passeth all understanding,” because to have moments that I am completely at peace makes no sense to me in the midst of it. The fact that I have slept so well the last two nights again makes no sense. Prayer changes things and that is exactly what’s happening in this situation! Thank you again for your prayers…..we just can’t show our appreciation enough!

MM and Eddie,
Rob and I are praying for you! God will heal you and get you through this challenging time in life. We love you and will check back for updates!
James 1:2-4, 12 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 12 Blessed are those who persevere under trial, because when they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Martha Marie and Eddie,
Since we heard the news on Friday we have been praying for you. As this comes to a surprise for all of us, it is reassuring that it was not a surprise to our Lord. He is constantly aware of us and our situation, even before we are aware. Our God is faithful and ever present! You will continue to be in our prayers.

LeAnn Snider asked me to pray for you, so that is what I did. I know her sister LaDonna and we have a ten year old with downs syndrome. that is the short story of how we now know about you. I’ve got your appointment in my Palm and the alarm is set to go off 15 minutes before the appointment. Prayer got us through open heart surgery on my daughter Faith, it got LeAnn and Zac through surgery and I feel that it will now do the same for you. God’s blessings on you and your family from Florida.

I feel the Lord has put this website in my path, just at the right time. I found your website, trying to locate Martha Marie’s sister. She and I were close friends during school and we lost contact back in 1997 and I haven’t spoken or seen her since. When I first found your website, I saw the link to MM’s website and the numerous blogs about your precious daughter. It was so nice to read and catch up on how MM’s family was doing and how much the Lord has truly blessed.
I delayed in posting anything, as I wasn’t sure what to say. However, I now feel the Lord had our paths cross at this time one more time for a reason.
MM – I had a stroke at the age of 29 back in 2003 due to a blood clot that formed in my right vertebral artery at the base of my neck and the left vertebral artery was 40% blocked. My dr at that time told me, my husband and parents, it would be short of a miracle if that right artery opened up and didn’t need a stent via surgery. Long story short, I received that miracle within 4 months and shocked the neurosurgeon who said he had not seen that kind of healing in the 20 years he had practiced medicine.
Please stay strong and lean on Him, even though your burden right now is heavy. The Lord does answer prayer and would love to share more of my story, as even though your situation is a little different – you have an aneursym, mine was a clot. I know first hand that He is still in the healing business and pray that I can send some encouragement your way. When you are down and out, think about all the good things the Lord has blessed you with and has already done for you, it will make you smile.
I have pretty much fully recovered and give God all the glory for what He has done in my life. I will continue to pray for you and your family and check back often for updates. I pray for His will be done either in healing or giving you the direction to a doctor who the Lord will use to heal your condition.
Please feel free to email me if you’d like to chat and tell Melissa Hello for me, I’d love to hear from her too.
In His time,
Michelle (Case) White

Hey there. I was in shock when I heard the news while in Japan. But I started praying and haven’t stopped since. God is in Control and I know he will touch you and heal you completely. You are a very dear and close friend to the Jones’s. Please keep me updated, and i’ll keep checking this site. God Bless and we love you.

Martha Marie & Eddie,
Jesus Christ certianly does give us peace. That is one thing that we can not explain through science, or anything else! He gives us a peace beyond our own understanding. We will continue to pray for you guys, during this time, and all of the doctors!

Guys, we just got caught up on all that you’ve been dealing with. Bless your hearts. We’re certainly praying for you.
I wanted to encourage you to think about the things that are true and on who Jesus is to you during this time. I know I often imagine the worst — telling myself it’s “‘wise to be mentally prepared in case…” But I’m finding that gives the evil one a foothold to create fear and distrust. The truth is that the Father knows every hair on your head and every blood vessel in your body. Think about Him walking with your during the day and watching over you as you sleep. He knows your coming and your going.
We’re praying for you to know His care for you in a tangible way.
