First night in room 358

Martha Marie had a great night of rest last night.  She slept well and has had little pain.  She ate some jello this morning and said that made her feel queasy.  She is walking great.   Her left eye is swollen almost completely shut, but the swelling should start to go down today.  A doctor came in this morning and said that she could probably go home tomorrow depending on how she is feeling.

I forgot to mention that the size of the aneurysm they found was between 10-12 mm.  It was originally estimated to be 7 mm from the MRI, CT Scan, and angiogram.  Dr. Barrow said that you really can’t tell sometimes by those imaging tests compared to actually being inside the body no matter how good our technology is.

Glad to hear things are progressing well! I am so thankful that God had a plan in place to cause the discovery of this problem which allowed it to be corrected.

We are thrilled to hear of Martha Maries progress. I was pretty teared up as I read over the last couple days of your blog. My secretary looked at me like I was nuts when she came in my office (lol). Today I am praying for you both to be full of joy!

Just learned about Martha-Marie’s surgery from Karin Shore, mother-in-law of Andrea Shore. I wanted to let you know that I will remember Martha-Marie and you and all your family in prayer, as will a lot of people here at Liberty First Baptist in SC. God so often presents us with such wonderful gifts through trials and tragedies (more so, I think, than through our triumphs!), and I know it pleases Him when we open them up and say, “Thank you, Lord, for sending me this, for making me even more aware of Your presence and Your goodness!” I have no doubt He will continue to bless you and that you are in the safest place you can be, no matter what—His hands!

    Love in Christ,

    Judy King
